I write this as I am on the BART to go on my way home. The notes I am transcribing are those that I took while in the court room. This is being typed on my phone. 922am The court room is a gorgeous room. Cherubim (sp?), carved into and protruding out of the walls hold aloft various seals of justice and legal authority, seemingly bringing these revered (yet oft overturned) walls to life. Directly in front of me and to my right at the plaintiff’s table is Don Kilmer. He is wearing a navy blue/black suit and red tie with a black band to form his signature pony tail. Behind the plaintiff and defendant tables is a bench of marble and wood that contains eight leather seats, each one with a microphone. Behind the eight chair bench is another three chair bench, aimilarly adorned and equipped. 928am The defense and plaintiff tables are filling up. Gene Hoffman is sitting two seats ahead of me. 935am Oaklander is sitting to my far left and next to Liberty1. He also just came over to say hello to me. He is not quite like I expected, though my minds eye us always showing people far differently than real life. 940am Ivanimal just walked in! He is a little shorter than I imagined. Again, my mind’s eye is always a bit off. Also, a very cute court clerk just walked in. Rad! 945am Clerks are dropping off papers at the judges benches. 950am Both the defense and plaintiff tables are full. Jason Davis just walked in, as well as Ben Cannon! The court is filling rapidly and is very loud. 955am News cameras have been set up. Gene is sitting with the plaintiff’s in the front row (has been for the last 20 minutes) 10am Cell phones off! All quiet! All Rise! Court is in Session! 1001am Don Kilmer is appearing doe Nordykes. Chuck Michel is here too.
